Na umetniški rezidenci na Domačiji Pr' Lenart na Belem sta letos snovala umetniški projekt Romarji prihodnosti za festival Hiša na hribu 2024 hrvaška umetnika Branka Cvjetičanin in Jason Mullhausen.

Sledeč ideji »placemakinga« je umetniško-raziskovalno delo Hodočasnici budučnosti/Romarji prihodnosti osredotočeno na več elementov, značilnih za krajino Naravnega parka Polhograjski dolomiti.
Geografija, geološke značilnosti, narava in prostori človeškega naseljevanja kažejo na dolga zgodovinska obdobja nastajanja specifičnega načina oblikovanja naselij, posledično pa tudi skupnosti.
Prav ta vidik razvoja prostora tudi po več stoletjih skoraj identično definira prostor in nosi pečat identitete skupnosti.
Umetniško delo Romarji prihodnosti je sestavljeno iz zvočnih elementov, posnetih na lokalitetah Polhograjskih dolomitov, pridobljenih iz razpoložljivih avdio arhivov, velik del je vzet iz zasebnega avdio arhiva Zvonka Simčiča, nekdanjega zvonarja cerkve sv. Marjete v Žlebeh.
Primerjava zvokov iz različnih časovnih obdobij tega območja jasno kaže na kontinuiteto trajanja, saj je prav zvok skozi stoletja enak in še danes na enak način omogoča vpogled v še vedno prisotno življenje skupnosti.
Obiskovalcem sta predstavljeni dve zvočni skulpturi, postavljeni na dveh mikrolokacijah v vaseh Belo in Žlebe.
Za vstop v zvočno vsebino Romarjev prihodnosti prejmejo posebne zvočne karte z navodili o načinu gibanja in poslušanja zvočnih objektov. Starodavne zvočne kulise so tako prestavljene iz običajne arhitekture oltarja bolečine in večnosti, ujeti narativi otipljive religiozne prisotnosti pa so prepuščeni domišljiji novih romarjev, da bi si drznili prevzeti odgovornost.
Koprodukcija projekta: Polygon, projekt podpira Ministrstvo za kulturo in medije Republike Hrvaške.
Otvoritev razstave Hiša na hribu 2024, kjer bo projekt Romarji prihodnosti prvič predstavljen, bo v petek, 23. avgusta 2024 ob 19.30 pri Sveti Marjeti v Žlebah. Dobrodošli!

HIŠA NA HRIBU izvaja skupnostne aktivnosti v okviru mednarodnega projekta Human Cities Humana mesta / SMOTIES: Ustvarjalnost v majhnih in odmaknjenih krajih/ Creative works with small and remote places, ki ga v Sloveniji zastopa Urbanistični inštitut Republike Slovenije. Projekt je sofinanciran s programa Ustvarjalna Evropa Evropske unije Creative Europe.

Following the idea of "placemaking", the art and research work titled The Pilgrims of the Future / Romarji prihodnosti focuses on several elements authentic to the landscape of the Polhov Gradec Dolomites Nature Park.
Geography, geological predisposition, nature and areas of human settlements point to the development of a specific way in which these settlements, and in turn, communities, were being formed over the long historical periods.
The Pilgrims of the Future artwork is made of sound elements recorded in the localities of the Polhov Gradec Dolomites.
These sound elements were extracted from available audio archives, and largely taken from the private audio archive of Zvonko Šimčič, the former bell ringer of St. Margaret Church in the village of Žlebe.
The comparison of the sounds from different time periods of this area clearly reveal the continuity of duration as it is precisely the sound that is identical throughout the centuries, enabling an insight into the life of the community even today.
Two sound sculptures will be presented to the visitors, placed in two micro-localities in the villages of Belo and Žlebe.
To enter the sound content and become the Pilgrim of the Future participants will receive special sound maps with instructions on how to find the location, move through the space and listen to the sound objects.
The ancient soundscapes are thus displaced from the usual architecture of the altar of pain and eternity, and the captured narratives of tactile religious presence are left to the imagination of the new Pilgrims if they dare not take the responsibility.
The project is co-produced by Polygon and supported by Republic of Croatia Ministry of Culture and Media.
